I have been a sales rep for Crescent Processing for going on two years. I am in and around the Chattanooga, Tennessee business area.
I have signed up hundreds of businesses and merchants. They have my card and my phone number to call me if they have any issues after contacting our client services number embossed on the free equipment we loan to them.

I have received a few phone calls, but most have them have been proir to contacting client services. Usually due to the fact that the business owner trusts my expert advice, and they just have a simple question. I usually can answer their questions, but if I cannot I refer them to the toll-free number ebossed on the top of the machine.
Everyone I have set up with our services have been happy and satisfied with our services with the exception of one business owner who called me to complain because of a misunderstanding regarding when his business gets its money after settling out his machine at the end of the business day. He was expecting to get his money in 24 hours of making the transaction on the credit card machine we put in his business, even though I had explained from the beginning that it takes 2 business days for the deposit to be posted to his account. Later the business stated that he could not wait two business days for his money. Since the machine had been activated and he had entered an agreement with Crescent Processing Company and he wanted out, there was a de-conversion fee (aka early out fee that he would have to pay). Always operating on win-win ethics when I personally do business with people, I agreed to pay his de-conversion fee so he could get out of the service agreement early. I lost all of my commission on this sale and then some, but I would rather the business owner to continue to process through old processor, ( a local bank that was not even a Visa Member Bank that is illegally making the money virtually show up in the business owners account the next business day to keep his business and to milk his profits by nickel and diming him to death with higher rates and fees, selling him equipment, and selling to his business an old dinosaur of a machine that is not even secure when he processes transactions with his customers' credit/debit cards), so the business owner could continue to receive his money in 24 hours.

Why does his local bank do this for him illegally? Because they are making about $1,200 to $1,500 anually off of this business owner so he will have the luxury of receiving money within the next business day. Banks, that is where they make their money. If you are a business owner and contact your bank, which is 99.9% of the time not a Visa Member Bank, they will send someone over under the guise of being a rep of the bank when they are actually a rep of a processing company and that processing company is an agent of a member bank somewhere far far away. This rep from your bank is usually a friend of a friend, a relative, or a relative of a golfing buddy. They want to sell you the business owner substandard equipment for a discount. That kind of equipment, not being secure, when processing a credit card payment kicks your transaction to a different qualifying rate that is a higher risk. Since it is a higher risk, the business owner is charged a higher rate on a much larger percent of the time per transaction. If they sell you new equipment that is programed to be secure, they do not support it or upgrade it for free, instead the business owner gets charged again. If they don't sell you the equipment then they ask you to enter a non-cancellable lease agreement for 3 or 4 years. These types of lease agreements end up costing the business owner literally 1000s of dollars over the course of the 3 or 4 year lease agreement. When the lease agreement is up, it rolls over for another 3 or 4 years, and again they want the business owner to upgrade the equipment to something newer, thus charging again. Along with that, these faux bank reps that are sent by the business owners bank are also setting the business owner up with higher rates and fees so they can get quarterly kick backs from that. Believe me!, my eyes have been opened wide and I am well-informed. I do consider myself an expert. I know that when working for Crescent Processing Company, I can set a business owner up with a payment processing solution that is reliable, secure, and much less expensive. Less money changes hands, the business owner realizes more money in their pockets at the end of the fiscal year, and they should be happy with the increased profits. I treat all of my clients and potential clients exactly the same. Compare that with the other credit card processing reps out there working under the false pretense that the represent the business owner's bank. Compare that with the other reps that work for other processing companies and leasing companies such as LFG, LADCO, Northern Leasing, and you will find they are lining their pockets with junk fees, leasing fees, etc. I am proud to say that Crescent Processing Company is a full-disclosure company that does the due diligences to maintain their clients processing needs for the life of their clients' businesses. I personally NEVER set up any of my clients' accounts to where I get kick backs. I treat them all the same. Win-win, save them money, increase their bottom line profits at the end of each year, make it to where they can compete with large multi-million dollar francised businesses that are killing the small business people.
When I started to look into employment in this field, I was offered 12 jobs from 12 different processing companies. I took two weeks comparing the pros and cons of each processing company offering me a job as a rep for their company. I chose Crescent Processing Company because I saw three things: 1)Better Client Services with full-disclosure practices to their clients, and a history of NEVER going up on rates and fees during the term of their clients' service agreement. 2) Free state-of-the-art basic equipment to use that is upgraded and supported with the best client services in the industry, and 3) a company that always confirms by recorded phone call at the end of the rep taking the new client's application so that everyone is on the same page and understands the agreement.

A little about me and my integrity as a pperson first and a Sales Rep for Crescent Processing Company second. For 21 years I was a Special Education Teacher, and a Gifted Math Teacher. I attended the Tennessee Academy for The Gifted at Belmont University in 1994 finishing at the head of my class. Test me in math and I am in the top 2% in the nation. With that being said, and knowing what a teacher makes for a living, (the first year I taught 1982-83 after volunteering to do all the things I volunteered to do or that I was volunteered to do I did the math and figured I made $1.87 an hour, and that was after 5 years of college where I obtained two majors and a minor), a discerning reading of this post I have made on this blog site can clearly see that I am not a shrewd and greedy person. Instead I am the kind of guy that likes to and wants to help people and make the world a better place. Since doing this, I don't lose ANY sleep over what I do. Instead, I lose sleep over small town local banks sending reps to visit small business owners to set them up with lease payments and high rates. I lose sleep over those reps preying on small businesses under the faux pretense that they soley represent the bank where they have their business account. I lose sleep over fake blogs designed to seed false information, create chaos with false accusations by posting blogs that are designed to defame a business for creating a new way of doing business with small businesses so they can somehow make it through these tough economic times! I lose sleep over a company in Chattanooga called Paytech EPS that one of the biggest ones responsible for doing this to the small business owners in my area. After working for Crescent for several months, Chuck Elbell, owner of Paytech EPS set an appointment with me and asked me if I wanted a job working for them. He told me I could literally make $5,000 more a month working for his company, (if you can't beat em' join em'? How about if they are beating you ask them to join you; which wwas the case in point on this particular occasion), I politely refused the job offer because I am an idealist who grew up in a blue collar hard working honest family owned business.

Personally, I am just going back to school to get an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology, and I am using the money I make from working as a sales rep for Crescent to fund my education and get more time to further my education. That is how I plan on retiring, (in the field of education), rather than shrewd greedy underhanded practices that are designed to make it a win-lose relationship. Which makes it difficult because for me because I am one of the good guys working for a good company in a sea of shrewd kniving processors who sell or lease machines and get kickbacks on fees and rates. While they are wringing their hands trying to figure out the next angle on setting up they win/businesses lose agreements, and while they are posting false blogs designed to kill off their competition, I am out there winning friends and influencing neighbors with honestly and money saving solutions. Oh my God!, what a bunch of drama and rumor mills there are out there.
These blogs... all of them I see about Crescent Processing, I am right in assuming that 99% of them are kicked up bfrom false information distributed by shady processing companies, banks, and the like.
It is VERY EASY to hide behind a blog and propagate false information to send the readers into a spin of propaganda so they can continue to be bamboozled by the shrewd and the greedy. It is very easy for business owners who are frustrated with a faltering economy and lost revenue to go off half-cocked and post an uninformed complaint for my potential customers to do a google search and read. It is easy to create a blog about anything. What is difficult is to sort through all the disinformation and come up with an educated answer. So in taking the time to write this, it is my hope that it will be read amidst all the garbage blogs.
When I drive away from a 67 year old African American Gentleman's Auto Repair Shop knowing he is leasing equipment for 3 years and it is costing him over $1000 a year in non-cancellable lease fees, and his other rates and fees are much higher than what they would have been with Crescent Processing Company, and further knowing that he is a good man, a honest man, and a hard working man barely making ends meet probably not even taking on an average $1,200 a month in credit card payments through that machine, then I get the rich get richer and the poor get poorer red flag popping up. It frustrates me and it angers me to the point where it literally brings tears to my eyes! And I think to myself, "There's another account that Chuck got while sitting in his high-rise office all cool and calm and collected while sending out a bunch of dumb and uninformed reps out there to do the dirty work for him. And that is just Chuck in Chattanooga. Honestly, it is par for the course.

Hit me with a law suit Chuck! I don't care. You can't get blood out of a turnip, and I am not the one making all of the money! Hey it is called collusion! Get in good with the banksters, aka modern day gangsters with a license to steal from small businesses, get in with a bunch of stupid people you hire as reps all uniformed. Let them run point for you, and let them foul up. Let them go, and play the blame game.
I am good at math. I know how to follow the money. People, if you want to know what's really going on follow the money!
Now then, the business that wanted their money in 24 hours. Well they work on Luxury German and Japanese Cars. I took my 1998 Subaru Forester there to see what he would charge to replace my wheel bearings. He wanted $1,200 to do it. I had already received quotes from 5 other repair places and the highest quote from the other five was half that at the place that could not afford to wait an extra day for their money. I don't believe that they could not afford to wait. But I took my commission I got plus a couple of hundred dollars on top of that, and paid for the damn de-conversion out of my own pocket. Now I can neither afford to pay for my tuition to further my education let alone get my wheel bearings fixed. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
I was more or less an object of attack. I am left to being Bob Cratchet at Christmas time. I am one of the good guys. I set up many companies including a NAPA Auto Parts Store in Cleveland, Tennessee. I got no complaints out of him. His business of 67 years in Cleveland must be happy. AT least happy enough to entertain the idea of having me write up his Capt. D's in Ooltewah, TN as well. And he is no fool. I just don't see how an Import Auto Service Center in Cleveland, TN owning its own building and staying busy as a bee 12 hours a day CAN'T afford to wait 48 hours for their money. The proof is in the pudding people. These blogs, are chaos factories. They should be taken with a grain of salt. NO news is good news. All the complainers got nothing better to do than complain.

Remember!, follow the money.

Thanks for your passionate response. I live in Huntsville, AL and am considering a rep. position with Crescent at this time. Would it be possible to visit you and get some perspective on the reality of this business?

My name is Mel Hughes

Mark, you should fear God for such lying. Ananias fell over dead for lying to the Holy Spirit and Peter said you have not lied to men but you have lied to God. Jesus said, when you do it to the least of these my brothers and neighbors you have done it unto me. What customers of mind have been ripped off while I sit in an ivory tower making all this money you are talking about? What customer has Paytech ripped off with a lease? I have not done a lease in years unless the customer wanted a lease for a particular reason. Why are you making false judgments without giving details? If Paytech set up a lease for a customer, it was because they wanted a lease. We always fully disclose everything to our customers even the negatives about leases. We also have free equipment deals, but they come with 3 year contracts and with different processing companies, annual fees, higher rates, etc. We do not lie to customers as you are lying about Paytech and me personally. If there is a customer I have wronged in anyway come forth with the witness and I will make it right. The Bible says let every fact be confirmed with two or three witnesses. Jesus Christ, the Holy Son of God, said if I bear witness of myself my witness is not true (which the only witness I am hearing is your opinions and all about you -Are you greater than God?) but the works I do bare witness of Me, the scriptures bore witness of Me, the Father bares witness of Me, John the Baptist has bore witness of Me. What witness bares witness to what you have said concerning Paytech EPS or me? I will gladly make right anyone I have wronged or my company has wronged or any representative of my company has wronged. Mark, quit writing garbage and speaking lies.

Your company, Crescent Processing called me on the phone and set up an appointment to sell me processing services. I was interested in your presentation and what you had to offer so I invited you in. You did a presentation of your services and try to sell me check services. I do not recall offering you a job as you stated. There was an agent working for me at the time that might have suggested it to you, but I do not recall offering you a job myself. I am not sure what he could have told you.

I have been trying to figure this out why you have such an ax to grind with Paytech. I do know this one agent did some things wrong in the marketplace that I had to go back and make right with customers. Is there someone I missed or need to know about? Who hasn't had employees or agents who have done something wrong? I can't be with everyone, every second, and police everything they say and do. My agents do know we are a company of integrity and expect integrity. If I find out they have lied to anyone, they are fired and the customer is taken care of.

I do know there is some truth in what you say about banks and this industry in general. I have run across some garbage myself, but it doesn't make all processors and or their gents the same. When you mix all companies up as being the same because you ran across some negatives in the industry your mixture becomes a lie itself which makes you out to be a liar and makes your reports deceptive and of full of evilness. Because you run across someone who has been wronged by a bank or a processing company besides Crescent Processing does not mean all other companies are the same. Not even all banks are as you say, even though there is corruption in the industry. Anyone can watch the news and know there is corruption in the industry, but it does not make all banks the same.

I am asking you, is there a specific customer you are speaking of that has possibly been lied to by one of my agents that I need to make right. I am more than willing. Just let me know. Mark, bring forth your witnesses. I have no knowledge of anyone who feels they have been wronged by Paytech EPS. I will be eagerly waiting because it is my desire to wrong no man in anything and even if an agent of Paytech did something wrong, we will make it right. This doesn't seem to be the case for your company Crescent Processing according to customer reports posted when your company is Googled. Your company has multi witnesses against it.

Finally Mark, I would expect you to do the same thing, make things right, or quit working for Crescent Processing. There are negative things written about your company all over the internet, and not from just one source like you are concerning Paytech EPS. Even on this very website there are 7 or 8 complaints from customers, but none about Paytech except from you. Also on other websites your company has been labeled everything you are accusing Paytech yet you will not find Paytech's name listed because you are the only one propaganda these lies. Your witness is not true according to truth, the Bible. I suggest you repent and find God.

Sincerely,
Chuck Elbell
