Trane Complaint

Don't buy a Trane - Furnace and Air cond.

I have a 4 year old high effiency Trane furnace and central air conditioner. I have already replaced the main circuit board, $300 labor only and a new motor for $914 labor only. The parts were both covered under warantee. The main circuit board was changed in 30 minutes and the motor was replaced in 90 minutes. Their product is junk and the installer made me charge the labor payment on my charge card before they would order the parts. Crooks!

I unfortunately also own a trane. It has been nothing but junk since I bought it in 2007. Now, it has gone down again, and the dealer who installed it, has skipped town. The only other trane dealer in town, is not accepting any new business. I have had it with trane, and will purchase another brand, that has a reputable service company. TRANE IS JUNK, and their dealers are fly by nights.

I used to know someone who worked for Trane's engineering department. When he proposed a change they denied it saying it was over engineered and won't require maintenance in the lifetime of the product.
