Wal-Mart Pharmacy Complaint

Does Walmart care customers

My complaint concerns the Wal-Mart located on Hewitt Drive in Woodway,
Texas, serving the communities of West Waco, Woodway and Hewitt in the Midway school district. On Saturday, April 12, 2008,I went to that store's pharmacy department. Some little Midway teenaged princess was sitting at the pickup counter, chewing gum and doing nothing. I gave her the card for a decongestant cold product and she yawned and said that was not her job to give me the product, I would have to stand in line at the checkout side of the counter to get it. She didn't even have the courtesy to look at me when she pointed her manicured little finger in that direction; I guess she thinks she's too good to deal with the public. Already four people, two with shopping carts, were in line. There was zero employees waiting on them. The little too-good-to-be bothered teen princess was then joined by another such girl and they talked and gossiped while we stood in line, totally ignoring the customers, one of which was an elderly woman who clearly didn't need to be standing for that long of a time. Mind you, I had the flu and I didn't need to be exposing other people to my virus. Nor did I need to stand there when I was no doubt running fever. At no time did any employee say "We'll be right with you," nor did any employee make any movement toward helping any of us. Finally, after about another 10 minutes or so, I was feeling dizzy and ill so I left the store. Luckily I was able to be waited on at a nearby pharmacy and could get my medicine and go home and go to bed. But it just makes me angry that these young Wal-mart "ASSociates" think its perfectly acceptible to sit on their asses and do nothing when a whole slew of people need their medications. Do they think they are supposed to get paid for just sitting there? I cannot believe that Sam Walton would have ever put up with such nonsense! And then when I tried to find a place to submit feedback on Walmart.com, I typed in "complaint" in the locater box and was told of several books, such as Portnoy's Complaint, which had that word in the title. I guess Wal-Mart is too tired of hearing all zillion of its dissatisfied customers so it doesn't take any feedback any more.

Your "critique" is completely off base. Firstly I know for a fact that there is not a single high school student in that pharmacy. Most of them are college students, working hard to put themselves through schools and feed their families, but prefacing your complaint with blatant ageism is NOT the way to constructively criticize a company, or in this case, a store. They are all hard working individuals, and the slander that you propagate about them seems quite unfair. It seems quite unlikely that you would find any of those "ASSociates" as you so eloquently put it sitting down since there are no chairs or stools of any kind within the pharmacy itself. You then go on to claim that the Wal-Mart site is closed off to complaints? Did you perhaps try the nice link at the bottom of the page that says "Contact Customer Service"? You really do live up to the posting name "ScreaminDemon" even though the sound emitted is more of a squawk than a Scream.
