Direct TV is a thief and will con you into paying for service that is deplorable. Stay with cable. don' t buy into their cheezy commercial

Dish Network = BAIT & SWITCH!!! If you are prepared to spend 3-5 hrs of yr day AS A NEW CUSTOMER, after being promised (verified by supervisor) by a rep in Atlanta, GA that her "system showed you as a referral by a freind or family" and that you "qualify" for "special add-ons"...then told rep would extend the initial 12 mo. promo to 18 months, etc. for their $29.99/mo promo plus 4.99 on second receiver** - ONLY TO LEARN by calling their 1-877-286-4808 Activiation Dept. that "NO, the rep mispoke or their was a misunderstanding...we CANNOT EXTEND promo beyond initial 12 mo and 18 mo. she "may have been referring to" was for the recievers; they fall under a seperate contract that lasts 18 months." Therefore if a consumer gets on board for initial "12 mo. introductory offer", even though you think your free to cancel at that point, your still on the hook for the rental or lease of their basic receivers...for another 6 months...to a total of 18!!!

How's THAT for great customer service by this bait and switch company???

I've now wasted the better part of my day with their crap and NO I WILL NEVER, EVER, CONSIDER DIRECT TV IN THE FUTURE. I advise all consumers to STEER CLEAR!
