Direct tv didn't honor their contratual agreement with me. When I contacted them about possibly using them instead of Comcast I told them they would need to be cheaper than $54.00 a month. They said they would charge me $29.00 for the first 3 months and $39.99 after that. I said I had 5 televisions and wondered if there would be any additional charges to have them hooked up to recievers. I was told "No," that the special included 4 receivers but they would throw in the 5th at no charge. My bill is $95.92! When I called they said,"You had to mail in a rebate request, which takes 6 weeks to process. After that is done your bill will be $56.00 per month plus 4.99 for each tv receiver!" I told them this was not the agreement we had made and they never told me about a "rebate form." They said they didn't care and would charge me if I discontinued my service with them. I'm ready to sue them for false advertising! They are a lying, SOB company! I hope no one ever uses them.

I WAS ALSO SCAMMED BY EXPERT SATELITE, WHO SIGNED ME UP FOR DIRECTV, THEY TOLD ME ON THE PHONE THAT THEY HAD SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THE RATE OF VERIZON FIOS TV, $35 A MONTH FOR 2 YEARS WITH A DVR AND IT TURNS OUT THAT THAT WAS ONLY THE FIRST 3 MONTHS, THEN ITS $40 A MONTH FOR THE NEXT 9 MONTHS , THEN IT GOES UP TO $63 A MONTH FOR THE NEXT YEAR, THEY COMPLETELY LIED TO ME, I HAVE CONTACTED THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT 10 TIMES ABOUT AN HOUR EACH WITH NO RESOLUTION, NOW I'VE CONTACTED THE BBB IN CO ( WERE I SENT A LETTER TO THE CORPORATE OFFICES 6 WEEKS AGO AND I'VE HEARD NOTHING IN RETURN), NEXT STEP , IS TO WAIT TO SEE WHAT BBB CAN DO, IF NOTHING, I WILL CANCEL AND TAKE IT UP WITH THE CONSUMER ADVOCATE IN MY STATE, ALSO WILL NOT PAY ANY DISCONNETCION CHARGE, SINCE THEY ARE IN BREECH OF CONTRACT.... GOOD LUCK, KEEP UP THE FIGHT AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW I DO...
