Did not show up - AT&T U-verse service

To who it make concern,I did not received my AT&T U-verse service installed on Aug 13,08 between 12.00-3.00pm for some reason,I did not received any telephone call or anything saying no one was comeing out to my home,Who every had my order did not care about the customer or anything else,I was at home all day long waiting and waiting for whoevery to come to do the installer, I am very disapoint over this manner and upset over this,I fell like to a another company for my service.I pay my telephon bill on time never late and now,I can not get good customer service from AT&T.

I have the same situation. I went to AT&T North Park Store, Dallas, TX to sign up the U-verse and wireless internet on Aug.26. They told me that the earliest date was Sept.8th. It was almost 2 weeks in advance and I received e-mail and letter confirming the installation date. I took day off and waiting until noon, I called the store, someone said they might show up in the afternoon. I called salesperson who I signed up around 1pm, she said she would call me back and let me know the status. She didn't call me back, I called again at 3pm and she said she was still checking the status and would call me back. I waited until 5pm. Someone else picked up the phone and would leave the message to her to call me back. At 6pm, she called me back and said the technician manager didn't sign the paperworks for approval for somereason. I was so upset and disappointed, she said she would give me credit back for 3-4 months free and reschedule for next available. I complained how this happened, the schedule was set up 2 weeks in advance but the technicians did not show up and nobody called me to let me know. Also, what in the world whey they sent me e-mail and letter to confirm me the date. I couldn't believe their poor performance that made this kind of mistake. Currently, I am still waiting for them to call me back for new schedule and credit back. It's been a week already, I haven't heard anything from them. They never keep their promise, everybody in that store will say the same thing like "we/I/she/he will call me back BUT, excuse me, they NEVER called back. I am wondering if AT&T has a policy "DO NOT call customer back"

Bottom line, if you hear they say that they will call you back. Please do not wait for their call. They never call back, you have to make several calls for days to get what needs to be done. Unfortunately, my case is still pending, I have to make several calls to them again tomorrow. This is very sad. If you have a choice, please avoid AT&T U-verse, it's the worst experience for me.
