I got the coupon months ago to convert my old TV. Could not get it working. My boyfriend finally bought a digital TV. Now I see that I may have the wrong box for the TV's we have. I saw on TV tonight the news casters were giving a grandma a converter box. I have worked with computers for 20 years now and have hooked up my own DVD players etc. If I did not get the converter working, how is grandma who did not seem to know what the transition was about, going to convert her TV. You know, a lot of us are probably eventually going to go without TV. But reading the blogs that seems to be the intent with no regret. If we don't pay to watch TV, we won't be able to watch. Never thought I would see this in my lifetime.

i have a portable tv that i will need to throw away after the conversion it has a rod antana and it is impoddiable to find a converter for it . i also have two regular tv.s with converter boxes but can gettwo channels like 10 percent of the time since ilive in a metal roofed trailer .
