0 I have a 30Mb internet. Bandwidth is not a problem. I have Magicjack for about 1 1/2 year. First year was great! I travelled overseas and took it with me and it worked great! Yes, price is a "nobody can beat" but lately Magicjack is not worth it. The quality of calls have decreased drastically in the past months. I am glad I did not renew my subscription for 5 years as they were offering and decided to renew just for 1 year. I feel sorry for those who renewed for 5 years. I can say now it was a ripoff.
0 Unfortunately there is insufficient info here to make much of an informed decision. I have found instances when MagicJack didn't work as advertised, however in each instance I was attempting to use it when I had insufficient band width for proper signal propagation. When I have used it on basic cable access, it works great, and I have to say that the annual expense of $20/year for a useful and reliable second line is marvelous. Easy installation, was able to switch my number to a more useful area code at no charge, (First switch free, second switch costs $10). I find this an excellent product at a very reasonable annual cost.
0 i have magic jack and it works fine you also need a 1.5 meg internet speed or faster to have a good service with no static mine is just like a home phone no static and works great
0 I bought 14 magicjacks and I find out 3 months after counting on the call forwarding feature that only 1 out of 10 calls go through. I have lost a lot of business over this. Im sick about it. If you need to rely on your calls...DON"T BUY THEM.
0 I have magic jack too. At first I didn't have much luck with it, but I found out a couple of things. One your computer should be in excellent working order, but two you internet connection should be much faster than 2megabits per sec. I had two and it was horrible, but now i have 7+ and it works great, especially since the software was updated. Also if you are using a USB Extention Cable, make sure that you are connected to a self powered USB hub, the power that magic jack uses can be a little much on the computer if you are not using anything other than the provided extention. I am sorry about your luck.
