In a period of two days I spoke with 3 people. Day one, I spoke with a very nice agent who answered my question. The time of the call was before 7:00 PM CST. Same day, but after 10:00 PM CST I spoke with someone who told me what I wanted here, because Directv decided to still do what they wanted to do, which was debit my BANK ACCOUNT which according to the Customer Agreement they could do - UDDER BS!! Here is another one, my bank's fraud department called me because DTV attempted to debit my account 10 TIMES for money! 10 TIMES over the course of a two period!
Day three a Saturday afternoon. Again the customer service agent was worthless and rude. (Are the after hours calls handled by offshore contact centers?) If so, these people need to take english lessons. I asked to speak with a supervisor. This guy was worthless. He wouldn't let me complete my question, he would talk over me. I finally had enough. I asked him to give me the companies headquarter address because I wanted to send a letter to the headquarters for escalation to their companies VP's and Senior Management.
Oh one other thing...They gave me free Showtime for a year at the begining of January 2009 because I am such a loyal customer, then raised my bill an extra $10.00. I guess its not so FREE is it!!!
Also, whats with 18 month commitment crap. When I originally signed up with DTV in 2003 or 2004 I had a 2 yr commitment which I satisfied. After buying a house, I upgraded my service to DVR service and there was no commitment. When did DTV go to a commitment based contract? When I upgraded I don't remember the guy telling me that was a commitment?!?!?
Now I watch all my TV shows on the internet with no crappy dish or satellite provider to worry about! I also don't have to pay $10.00 per hour for TV either. Thanks HULU!
