Customer Service--Is there any?

Wow, for a "communications" company, they are definitely lacking. I tried unsuccessfully for 5 days to cancel my service. I was kept on hold for at least 4-5 hours over these days before I finally got to the "correct" person/dept., who knows. Too many different numbers, areas, it's absolutely pathetic. There is no reason to keep a customer on hold for more than 10 minutes. I then sent an email and was assigned a PAM (personal account manager) who was a person available to me from 9-9 M thru Sat. Well, I tried that too. I called at 7:30 on a Thursday evening and was called back the next Tuesday. Hmmm... Now, 3 weeks later my bill shows long distance charges--which were supposed to be included in my bill. Two more phone calls and another hour. Additionally, I was left a message that they were sorry they missed my installation date and would like to set up another.... I think it's time for verizon to stop buying up and merging with other companies and clean up their own back yard. I would not recommend the service to anyone for these reasons alone. Humans are still the best problem solvers, not automated voice response phone systems.
