CountryWide foreclosed on our home in TX and refused to work with us. We DID pbtain a loan modification. My husband was tired of their mishandling of payments and started sending our payments via Western Union--suddenly, they were posted on time! We were 3 days late and they started foreclosure proceedings. Yep, we were foreclosed on due to my husband absolutely refusing to file bankrupcy--he is "morally against this". Me, I'd have filed in a New York minute. We got behind due to medical bills and reduced income as a result of sickness. Countrywide got our home of 12 years which is on a bit over 5 acres. They have it on the market for $15,000 LESS THAN OUR LOAN PAYOFF AMOUNT. It's a shame that the government can't help all us Americans who have LOST our homes. We are now living in a small 900 sq ft rental property. Was told it would be three years B4 we could even think about buying another home; even if we could possibly come up with a down payment. Our lives have taken a downhill pace with no end in sight. I have been looking for a job since September without receiving even one interview. Why, do you ask? Probably because I'm 55 - no one seems to want an "old person" on the payroll here in the DFW area. My advice is If you have a Countrywide/BOA adjustable mortgage; get out of it as soon as you can ! They WILL take your home and are a really shifty, bottom-sucking company! Good Luck to all of you reading this post. 12-18-08

i am going through the hell with this bank of america they are hell , and retention dept and home affordable customer service they have is horrible horrible , they told me to come up with $15000 otherwisw we will forclose your house in which $10k is mortgage and $5000 is the attorneys and forclosure fees , they they came up with plan ok deposit $7000 quick collect to bank of america down in withone 2 buisness days and made my mortgage payment to $3400 instead of helping me or trying to work out , bank do want your house , they want you be on the road because we are not doing what we signed on the closing table ,its all lies that bank loose money on forclose if realy they loose money why they cant work with me , i have one choice go to lawyer tohelp me but they want $2000 down here goes again everybody wants money you know what i had it
