You just gotta' admire Comcast 's guts for turning into a science the art of skirting around all issues. It's an adventure right out of Abbot and Costello's famous skit of "who's on first....". And just about as passe.

Their con-artistry is down to a science wherein anyone you ever get on a phone call just happens to be in another part of the country....."I can't tell you about Chicago because I'm in Memphis but I'll try to answer your questions. You ask if your site is down? I don't know I'm in Memphis. Let me call there.....A few minutes later... "Ma'am?" "Yes,say I"..."It seems there IS a problem but I can't tell what it is because I'm in Memphis, nor how long it will take to fix. Maybe you can call in a little while." "How long". "I can't say", she states curtly as if I'm to blame. "OK. How do I get into a Chicago line?" "You just keep dialing this number until someone there answers and if you have a problem it means their phone lines are probably also down".

What, me worry?

And so I wait an hour and dial again.
"Hello Comcast? yakata, yakata, yakata..." "Ohhhh we're so sorry for your problem we'll give you a $$ credit for the inconvenience of shutting down two days without telling you it was not a virus on your computer while you just spent $90.00 on a tech person to find that out...."

In the last nine months I've been down as long as two days and every time "are given a courtesy(?) credit of X dollars" on my bill. Nine months up the road and six follow-up calls later and NOBODY can find ANYTHING on my record of any credits!!! I give date, exact time and name of agent and zilch. I have NEVER gotten a penny. Nor have many of the 200 tenants in the building I live in that got suckered into bring in Comcast as exclusive provider.

One dude got five coupons for movies but he doesn't subscribe to the movie channel. He's now trying to sue for trauma over some silly porn star he was looking to for his 80 yr old livido.

Now it is a year later and I find ComC bills are deliberately convoluted in order to augment their cheapo costs to bandido vampire levels. (as I finally confirmed via 3 genius friends cuz I thought I was just a dumb reader.)

Comcast's "hot deals" STICK IT TO YOU with a dozen added charges worthy of Rubick's Cube to try and decipher.

Some of the terms are worthy of an award for genius mumbo jumbo.

Looks very formal. Very exact with column after column of "small" very authoritively written charges...Until you add it all up!

There's more but I need a shot to digest having been suckered......Burp!

Hello...AT&T? I want to subscribe to your expensive but at least - easier
to understand overcharges plan.
