In Feb 2009 we applied for a loan modification with WaMu. Since then we have sent in many documents at the continued request of the Imminent Default dept, Loss Mitigation dept, and Customer Services dept. Unfortunately all we have received from WA MU to date is a bad credit report for our efforts.

On 9/23/09 my husband under went major surgery for Pancreatic Cancer. As you can imagine his treatments are extensive and he is now being forced to retire. Our house payment is $5400 a month, and our home is several 100K under value. We have tried diligently to keep up the payments during this stressful time in our lives, however, we will no longer be able to continue with the payments.

This letter is to inform you that we are in desperate need of the loan modification if we are to be able to save our home from ultimate foreclosure. We have tried every phone number (now outdated), sent every request several times, and have been put off for months while we have begged for help.

Please be so kind as to contact us immediately to move this modification forward so we don't lose our home while trying to save our life!

We started trying to modify our loan in December 08, finally, finally, I heard something back, but we had been put on a trial modification and payment was saving us about $700/month, they impounded our taxes and insurance and the payment still was hard, but we managed. Then after the 4th month my "file" was transferred to the third person I had been working with and he needed all of the paperwork again, since it had been so long. Then in only less than a week my file had gone to underwriting, and we were DENIED. Now not really sure what to do since now my payment actually somehow has gone up $1000 of its original amount since they impounded everything. We had a death in my workplace that required me to work extra over the summer, but my hours are now back to being cut because I was training someone over the summer. I tried to explain that my income had and was going to go back down, but they didn't care, I was told to reapply!! I can't stand this bank. I feel there is no recourse. Who can we complain to,because its not the bank.

we have been trying to get chase/wamu to modify our loan since aug 2008. We have sent in our paperwork 5 times. we were scammed by their employee and was asked to pay $3k and he was using a 3rd party company. His name was Barry Grant. Are file magically disapeared after a formal complaint and now we just got the the new obama modification paperwork and we have to pay 3 months of our old payments first which makes no sense then modify. The whole point was to lower our payment and now its the same. No one there knows what there doing and lots of questionable people who are trying to make money under the table while my family of 6 is trying to save our house. The government needs to take control of these banks and hold them accountable for their nonsense. I just pray we have a home in a few months still.

I have been waiting since march of 2009 for a modification. I am a single wdowed mother with limited income and my job has just been cut back by 50% what am i to do i am desperate to keep my home and see that my childeren get an education. I can not even buy them clothes or school supplies. And on top of that my boss chooses to pay me at his conienience and I have to go through holiday weekends with no money. I want to buy my daughter a birthday gift I can't even do that. Please help someone befor I am living on the street.

I have same issue after six month now my file goes to underwriter table finallyyyyyy!!!!
they told me now its take 30 days or maybe more im sure they ask me send All doc again so i am ready with all doc again

Been there, done that. They'll keep asking for add'l paper work, even though you send it. They will tell you It is the new Obama plan and stuff has changed that is why it is so slow but don't worry they can offer more.....then they don't! The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Try to go to their website and see if you can go in person. Cuz, this is a nightmare! After six months I was turned down...six months..............ugh!

WE ARE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE U.S. GOVERNMENT AND WE WILL SEND LETTERS TO NEWSPAPERS, RADIO AND NEWS STATIONS
COMPLAINING ABOUT CHAS/WAMU BAD FAITH TREATMENT.

FOR 6 MONTHS WE HAVE TRIED TO MODIFY OUR LOAN. WE FAXED YOU MORE THAN 20 FAXES WITH ALL THE DOCUMENTS YOU REQUESTED.

EVERY TIME I CALL CHASE/WAMU REPRESENTATIVE HE STATES THAT MORE DOCUMENTS ARE MISSING.

I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS AGAINST CHASE/WAMU HOME MODIFICATION APPLICATION PRACTICES.

EVERY TIME I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR YOUR REPRESENTATIVE REFUSED TO CONNECT ME WITH ONE.

Same here. They never have any information and just pass you from one department to another. One says we are behind and another says we are just fine. I doubt they can even produce the note they bought from our bank anymore.
