Westinghouse Complaint

I bought a Westinghouse L2610NW 26" 1080p LCD Monitor, new, a few days ago at Best Buy. I had never considered Westinghouse as a brand of monitor, and knew nothing at all about them. The reason I bought it was it was $379, as opposed to $549 for the comparable Samsung. I figured that all in all, the Samsung would probably be better in quality, but the display model looked great, and I could sure find a use for the $170 I would save over buying the Samsung.

I took it home and hooked it up. It had a beautiful picture - for about 20 minutes - and then flickered a few times before it fried completely.

I returned it this morning and got another one of the same model. This one also worked fine until I turned down the brightness from 100 to 75. Then it began emitting a buzzing/ringing sound from inside the monitor.

I called Westinghouse customer support, and they had me try a few things. Then they told me I should return this one, too.

I returned it, and got my money back. This afternoon I bought the Samsung Synchmaster T260. Not happy about having to pay $170 more just to get a working monitor, but at least this one does work!

It seems that Westinghouse has serious quality control problems. I never bought Westinghouse before this, and I'll never buy Westinhouse again!
