Magic Jack Review

Caller ID and Faxes

I have been using the Magic Jack for 1 week now and so far I like it. The only thing is that I purchased a DECT 6.0 cordless phone with expansion phones and the caller ID doesn’t work. So, when I plugged in my 5.8 GHz phone the Caller ID on my phone worked. So, I will be exchanging my 6.0 phone. Also, I am able to send faxes but I’m not able to receive faxes. But, for $20 yr of service that’s ok.

That fix involves a phonel ine extender and some resistance, if you are not the soldering type you can buy one for about the same money as the parts from magicmojita.com

I have a Panasonic 5.8 GHz cordless phone that includes 3 expansion phones but caller ID does not work with magicjack. Any ideas?

I'm not sure, but as soon as I started using the 5.8GHz the caller ID started working. Maybe try unplugging it and plugging it in again

Well, I just exchanged my Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phone that includes 3 expansion phones with the Panasonic 5.8 GHz cordless phone that includes 3 expansion phones and now the caller ID works with the Magic Jack. I also, figured out how to setup my personal voicemail greeting on Magic Jack. So, now I'm happy.
