CVS Caremark Mail In RX Service

Caremark has a nasty habit of not filling a mail in RX if they deem it too expensive. Instead of filling the RX as DR specified they FAX the Dr's office and push him to change the amount of medication on the RX. For example my Cardiologist wrote me a RX for 2 Plavix per day for a total of 180 tabs. After waiting 2 weeks for my RX when I received it it had to been changed to 1 tab per day 90 tabs I am a retiree of SBC and our RX benefits are through CVS Caremark. I am researching options in how I will deal with this problem.
