I am absolutely shocked that the food handlers do not wear gloves. I nicely asked "I don't mean to be a pest but aren't the people who handle the food directly supposed to wear gloves?" hoping she would kindly put on gloves and re-make my sandwich (your way? I think not!) and the manager comes to me in a very defensive manner and tells me that Burger King pays for a very expensive license in Tallahassee which is why they do not need to wear gloves in Florida. In Florida they can do whatever they want. Purely repulsive. She, as a manager, should have asked me if i wanted a new meal or a refund. They did nothing but give me dirty looks. I had such respect for BK as a company- not so much anymore...The manager was hostile with me and her workers...Stay away from the BK on 8th street in downtown Miami/Brickell Area.

gloves are not always sanitary. Do not let this fool you. gloves are on and employees sweep floors, scratch, play with their hair and never remove gloves. Ick

Why do you think wearing gloves is more hygenic? It isnt!! The staff have to wash there hands constantly where as anywhere you go that have gloves they do not wash them as much if not at all, do you really think having a plastic layer over your hands is going to stop bacteria growth the answer is no and its more dangerous if gloves are used as people tend to think that these will pretect the food and dont wash there hands leaving bacteria time to grow which is what courses food poisoning
