We too saw the cheap pool advertised on TV and figured they were making money in bulk. We called and they canceled on us 3 different times. When he finally did come, he was driving a broken down car and a Hawaiian shirt, very cheesy. He told my husband that the site prep would be expensive (we have a flat yard) and that they didn't do that. Then he started telling him the advertised pool wasn't very good, thin liner, would cost a fortune in chemicals, but the midline pool was great with a lifetime warranty, even on the liner. Cost? 18,000. How do you go from 399 to 18,000? I told my husband to tell him no way. Then he went into this schpiel about how they needed show pools in this area and that could reduce the price. At this point I looked them up and found exactly what he was telling us was being told all over the country. Also found that there are no "show pool" deals, that they come down to the incredible price of 8,000 at 24.9 interest and if you miss a payment, they put a lien on your home. At this point I told my husband to tell him to get off my property.
