Beware of ladies workout express contracts

National fitness financial is the finance company for ladies workout express, and has a term contract with an auto renewal policy. The term for my contract was 2 years which I paid the balance off 8 months prior to the membership expiring and canceled any auto renewal. I then receive a credit collection notice with huge fees for being 2 days late....BEWARE OF LADIES WORKOUT EXPRESS CONTRACTS AND ALSO YOU MUST TYPE A LETTER AND SEND IT CERTIFIED TO GET OUT OF PAYING MORE MONTHS AND HUGE FEES. I explained the situation to them that I canceled my contract when I paid it off in full 8 months prior to contract terms, and they were so nasty and rude.....please do yourselves a favor and go to another health club!

I have to tell what happened to me. I am a American express business card caring member until today.
I have carried this card for about 1 and a half years. I have never used this card until 3 days ago. I got this card which they tell U has no limit which is a joke. I used my American express card and charged about 2800.00 or a little less REMBER 3 days ago. Here it is a nice Sunday afternoon and I am driving home from the families house and my cell phone rings. American express representative calling me wanting a payment over the phone no I am not joking. I could not believe it unreal. I was treated so rude and bad by them I am still in shock . I then return to my home and play my answering machine and there is a very important call from American express I must call them immediately . I have NEVER been treated like this from and company whatsoever. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH AMERICAN EXPRESS

LADIES BEWARE OF WHAT YOU SIGN!
I too just got zapped by the nasty fees for the remainder of the years. I still have to pay until February 2009. Once you sign the contract your committed for the entire year and if you run over into your automatic rewnal policy you owe for that year as well. Only way way out is with a Dr's note sent to ABC Fiancial. LADIES EXPRESS IS SMILEY AND LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!

I have an injury to my hip and my arm so am not able to use my gym membership and haven't attended for 7 months. my treatment is ongoing. I have tried to get out of my membership but have had to pay £12.00 for a Doctors note and they require over £100 for me to come out of my contract. I will never join a gym again. Where are are rights?

I am currently dealing with National Fitness Financial. I have sent in 2 cancellation notices and they are still debiting my account. This has been an ongoing process from January 28th, 2008. We are now on May 6th.
