Beware Certified GM Used Cars

I read about GM Certified Used cars being "as new as used can get." I tried it and I'm warning consumers about purchasing a GM Certifiede Used Car. You are not getting what the ad and the company says you will get. Three weeks after I bought a 2005 Chevy from Wentworth Buick/GM in Eugene, OR, I had to replace parts that they had supposedly done on their "certified used car" inventory and repair. They said they fixed the headlamp and tail-light, and they were supposed to fix the brakes. They didn't, and three weeks after I bought the car, (after GM refused to honor their agreement) I had to spend over $2,000 on a car that was supposed to be "certified and worry free" according to Wentworth and General Motors advertising and claims. BEWARE THIS SITUATION!! You cannot trust any GM dealer when it comes to "Certified Used Vehicles" being "good as new."

HATEGM says: (7 months ago)

My daughter bought a brand new 07 Chevy Aveo from Modern Chevrolet and it has been a nightmare ever since. She even went for mediation with GM and got a slap in the face by these people. The tranny slips and boggs down, the electrical system shorted out the stereo and at times the headlights and dash cluster doesn't work, the air conditioning whines loudly, the passenger seatbelt wouldn't stay latched,it wouldn't shift out of park, and worst of all the oil seal failed and blew all the oil out of the motor and even the service tech said it was a catastrophic oil loss whice in the business dictionary means (ALTERS THE WAY SOMETHING WAS MADE TO OPERATE,DISASTEROUS,RUINOUS,ETC...) The warranty did get "SOME" of these problems fixed but the tranny still slips and boggs down and the motor burns the oil inside the motor and turns it to sludge. Modern Chevrolet wouldn't be a advocate for us and the big rigs from General Motors said this was only a $13,000 car and that she is acting like it is a $50,000 car.She is stuck paying for this car that is only 2 years old but took her taxes and bought her a 1993 Toyota Celica to drive so she would have reliable transportation for herself and 5 yearold son.GM loves to sell their cars but has no intergity to stand behind their product. Its all about making that $$$.Please people "BEWARE" your hard earned money could be put in the pocket of these big rigs at GM who think that your $13.000 is small change and doesnt matter...
