Lightspeed avaition is a manufacturer of communication headsets (headphones) used by private and commercial aircraft pilots. I purchased of their mid priced headsets from an third party online retailer almost five years ago. I've enjoyed the product, but have had a couple issues with the headset malfunctioning. My first call to lightspeed was a year ago, three years after the warranty has expired. The phone was answered on the first ring by a HUMAN BEING? so obviously i was caught a little off guard. I asked to speak with customer service, and he said he could help. I explained that I needed to order a replacement part for the product that I have had for four years. This person knew exactly what I was talking about, then asked me if I wanted to send it in for repair, or just to mail me the replacement part. I said that it didn't look to complicated to replace, and that I would do it. He then stated that there would be no charge for the part, and if there was anything else on the headset that looks worn and needed replacement. After four years of use, I stated, the ear pads have become a worn. He said we'll throw those in as well. He then took my address and wished me a nice day. I was stunned.

two days later I got my replacement parts and everything was good until this year. I had another issue with the headset, so I called up, and a young lady answered the phone. I explained the issue, and she gave me the same great customer service as the first gentleman.

I am not writing this because I keep breaking my headset, and they keep sending me free parts. I would be happy to pay for things that I use. The point is that they are VERY helpful on the phone and that I dont have to waste time talking to rood people that don't understand their own product.

If this was the case with every business in America, they would be sending customer service jobs over here!
