Bad Upscale Staionary Store - Business Cards

Well where do I start....I first came upone this little cute store walking down Crosby Street in NYC. I thought it was nice and a new place to go for office products. First incident was I purchased something my mate did not like it so I returned it, besides getting some nasty look from the male cashier I was given a store credit. I misplaced the receipt and even though I purchased it from the same cashier that yesterday afternoon I could not get credit back. So my fault for misplacing the receipt but bad business for a small shop with a upset cashier named Nicholas. Well I was given a credit and was told they do not keep credits on their computer system so if I loose it it's not their problem and they cannot refund anything, shit. The little cute store was now getting on my shit list. So I had a credit that I recently used for my new business cards I wanted them to produce. Again nasty and full of himself the cashier assisted me with his fellow cashier Faryle, fun. So both of them had no idea how to handle the barrage of questions I had like, can I use pantone color, would I be able to get metallic color printed on the cards, how long will it take for printing and also pricing. So they answered some questions together and some they guessed and gathered information. I was okay but worried about the competence of these two and their funky tone when asked all these questions as if I disturbed them. Anyhoot I got my answers and went back the following week and paid half for my cards. Well shit hit the fan after the first day, I was told the proof will take one day to get and after each proof if I make a mistake or want to change something I will have to pay an additional $15, sucks. The proof took a week and 2 days because the boss went on vacation he is also the designer. After getting the proof it was all wrong and I did not care but was upset the cashiers shrugged their shoulders and said what do you want us to do.....Oh crap now I am tired of grunge couple and want to speed up the process. I asked if they can put spaces between the words on either side of the backslash, a simple request and she seemed like it was going to be difficult.....it's a space I am asking for but why was she paralyzed and puzzled at the request, I do not know. She said we will call you for the next proof that should be ready the next day. Well I came the next day and Nicholas was there so he asked fo rmy name and I gave hime the info and he said to me that they cannot make difficult changes to the set design of the cards...."what the hell" I asked for a space nothing else just two spaces so the words are not all close together. So I go on to say how long will it be to get the proof now since it was not in the store for me to pick up. His reply was these things take time we are people you know....hehehehe. I said I am a person too and I know how to work quickly and if you cannot put a space into a damn card than you shouldn't be designing them. Finally I left and the manager called and he says to me that I tryed to change the set design of the cards and he could not place spaces in the card because they do not do this....heheheh. He also said that I was rude and he will refund my payment back to my card. Well I was a little upset but I found a printing place the same day and they where able to print the cards within two days and at half the price of IS Industries and their customer service was geat. I love a good complaint story.
