As a contracter for Directv the wall fishing charges are standard for any install where they box is more than 18 inches from entering the wall.
As far as the cable companies claim to how to run the line inside the existing wall box that is impossible inside a closed wall coming down from the attic.

For the not receiving the HD locals the new H20's do not have an off air antenna port they are sent to you from the sattelite.

What it sounds like to me is that whoever installed did not dither it properly like they are supposed to.
Or they didn't force a download on the receiver.

Sorry to hear about your problems but the best way to have handled the situation would have been to call in a service call.

do not sign up for dish network from Directv. they do not live up to contract and charge a lot more than what we signed up for.
