It seems that all telephone companies are exactly the same. They practice bait and switch con games with no compunction at all. I signed up for a new policy with AT&T for a fixed rate. When I noticed some features on the plan including charges for long distance that were supposed to have been included in my package, I called to discuss the charges. The customer service rep with whom I spoke was very helpful and removed some of the extra charges and said I should see the correct price from here on. Well, my next two bills, went up significantly, not down. And my attempts to reach this person have now all been in vain. I didn't sign up for $400 a month service, and don't intend to continue service with a lying, cheating company.
Are there no honest telecommunication companies anymore? Is this the result of deregulation, rampant corruption with no holds barred?
