Gems TV Complaint

Another Horrible Experience With Gems TV

I can't begin to tell you the frustration in dealing with Gems TV , especially with the Customer Service Team Lead. I have a legitimate request to receive reimbursement for my shipping and handling on returned defective items, but I am being refused this refund. Since I have been "terminated" as a customer for high returns, I have been ignored, treated rudely, and not given any respect. I don't warrant this treatment and will escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau. Can't Gems TV do what is right for the customer? Come on now! This is a ridiculous company. WARNING - DO NOT SHOP WITH GEMS TV!!!! You will regret it!

I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from JTV, usually $100 - $400 per item. Six months ago I purchased a invisible set ring for $1,000. The ring was huge so I only had worn it 5 or 6 times. The ring was 5 months old when a diamond fell out of the setting. JTV has 14 day warranty and does not stand behind their quality. I would not recommend shopping at this site. I had no choice but to take this ring to a jeweler to repair. They told me this ring is very UNDESIRABLE because the setting lends to the diamonds falling out and I cannot find one jeweler to repair it because of the risk of the entire setting falling apart...now is this worth $1,000 with no backing from JTV...I THINK NOT. I work too hard for my money to be treated like they treated me. SO DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CHANNEL OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!

I have purchased from all three of the above mentioned. GemsTV has the highest prices of the three and poor quality, especially in diamonds unless you go with their megabucks Purity line. Effective Aug 4th, 2008 The Jewelry Channel will be closing its doors here in the US so there goes that option. And Jewelry Television channel shows one thing on the TV screen and ships out much lesser quality (diamonds look like rock salt and my gemstone was cracked). When I called to complain, a man named Robert was extremely rude and even went as far as to yell and scream at me. I will never buy from those shysters again. The only good network for Jewelry was TJC and as I said, they are going out of business.

I have purchased probably 25 things since November 2007 from Gems TV, as well as The Jewelry Channel and Jewelry Television. I have had absolutely no problems with any of these places. All of my jewelry has appraised for higher than I paid, and the quality has been outstanding. The prices are good on all 3 channels, just depends on what you're looking for and what specials they happen to be showing. I have never purchased any loose stones, they were all part of pieces of jewelry, so I cannot comment on the purchase of loose gems. I will continue to purchase frequently from all of these sources. My husband absolutely hates it, but it's better then leaving him to buy things on his own without my input!

Well darn! I was about to start shopping with them. But when looking online to try to find when their specials air in my town, I discovered Jewelry television, and that got me wondering which had a better deal. So I searched for reviews and this is the first I came across.

One person said they found better deals with other companies. Do you happen to know any? I've never bought jewelry before (ever), so I don't know what is or is not a good deal, but the prices on GemsTV seemed pretty low.
