Aggressive Telemarketing

As an online retailer, we get plenty of telemarketing calls but this was one of the worst ever. They belittled my site, my current SEO agency, my business philosophy and my time line. They ultimately made a pitch for video services and I had genuine interest but told them that I wouldn't be starting any new marketing initiatives or site improvements until October at the earliest and invited him to follow up with me later. That's when the hard selling started. I told him point blank that hard selling wouldn't work on me but he was unfazed. I tried to end the call on a positive note, asking what their primary reason I should hire them for development of my video assets and he really didn't know how to answer that one. They are obviously trained to keep going for the close as long as the person stays on the phone with them and so I finally had to become rude, tell them I would not be interested in any product or service they offered and to hang up on them. I HATE TELEMARKETERS.
