How Much does this card stink. Here is my story with Advanta. A merchant wrongfully credited my account with less than a full payment. So on a $2 miss up.. advanta charged me $26 in late fees and interest. I should mention that I have have been a perfect customer with them for going on 8 years now. So I told them that I would cancel My account and the response that I got after answering the same questions over and over was we're sorry. We are unable to give this credit back to you as a courtesy. Isn't customer loyalty appreciated. My business has probably spent over $45,000 with them in past years and I can't get $26 on an error.

One would think that the Mormons would prohibit deceptive advertising and usury in Utah.
I have a great credit score and my interest rate was raised from an advertised rate of 8.99% to 27% with no reason. I never missed a payment or paid late. The Advanta rep cites Experian as the reason but my credit report with them is good.I asked the rep if he was a Christian or a Mormon and he refused to answer. Here is my solution:
A registered letter to the Bank stating my intent not to pay any interest or principle until the interest rate has been corrected to the advertised rate, with copies to each of the 3 credit bureaus,the Mormon Church and Utah Atty General. The credit bureaus should refrain from action until the fraud investigation is resolved. The Mormon Church has been known to excommunicate unrepentant sinners.

ADVANTA CREDIT CARD -- This company has THE WORST customer service!! I am a person with credit score of 800. I asked for a 10,000 dollar crdit limit for my business and I got 1,500. (I cant even buy 10 percent of my stocks for my business for that amount) So I closed the account. Oh the representative was like ..okay what ever..I dont have the time to explain to you. I'll be more than happy to close this out for you ( he didnt say that, but the attitude was exactly like that). But he has not closed it. I started receiving statements. So I spoke to the managaer. He was polite at the begining and ended up an ass... He closed my account. Hey there you next month...the Statements again. This time also ... they were like, why are you moron calling us again??
One more thing about security of your privacy. All the numbers are X ed out except the last four. Hey look at the bottom of the statement, All your numbers are their streched out for their convenince. Stupid Idiots !! Please do not give your personal info. to this company. There was another article about employees selling your information. Be careful.

I have an Advanta Card as well. I did not even make a payment late - They increased mine from 8% to 32%! I agree!
