In my opinion, Chevy Chase has adopted one of the worst programs of tracking account spending. Here recently during this financial crisis, they have adopted the pending transaction technique which confuses the customers. Instead of instantly deducting transactions, they allow the pendings to accumulate & if you have a personal line of credit, withdraw it from the credit line, even if you have money presently in your account. I feel that this is a matter that requires some looking into, because on many occasions they manage to screw up my account. When I questioned the manager, she said I was required to track my account by subtracting the debits from the credits. By implementing this new & improved system, I feel it is their responsibility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 22, I went to Chevy Chase's drive up located here at Central Park as I normally do. Since the check was in my boyfriend's account, I understood the fact that I would not receive the balance amount on my receipt as standard procedure. I made the deposit & sat in the car waiting for 15 minutes at least before ringing the customer service bell. These people did not have enough courtesy to return to the window and give me a receipt for my transaction. They took my money which was in cash with no problem, but tell me 15 minutes later that they will be mailing the receipt to my boyfriend. Never in my life, have I encountered such rudeness & disrepect from a bank. The people they have working the banks need to receive training in some sort of customer service. Highly upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a charge on my account from my morgage twice for the amount off $1400.00 but I got only $500.00 on my bank account. Chevy Chase process the transaction and my account got over draw. I got 8 NSF fee for the amount of $35 each. I called Chevy Chase call center and the lady transfer me to special list name Nicole. I explained to her what happen and asked why they did this to custome. She said because I'm a value customer and be with them since 1998 so Chevy Cahse paid my the morgage company on my behave. I asked her about my NSF fees to see if they can waive the fees since I'm they value customer. The answer is no because NSF FEES has not post on my account yet. I called on last saturday. She told me to make a deposit today to clear up my account which is I did and call back or go to the branch on monday because those fees will post on my account on monday. I asked her to put the note on my account so the other person will know what happen. Nicole said she will do it right away. I called on monday got disconect twice and finaly be able to spoke with the lady name Margaret. I explained to her what happen with my account and asked to talk to customer relationship specialist as I'd been told to do. Margaret told me "no". I asked her to take a look on my account so she can see the note and she put me on hold for about 5mins then she said "I'm sorry Mrs Thompson I lost your account information. Can I have it again?" My name is not Thompson and it she take a my issue seriouly then she should not lose my account info. She put me on hold again after I gave her my account # then she said " I'm sorry but I cannot transfer you to cutomer relationship becaus of your NSF Fees issue. I asked her then what can she do to help me. The answer is nothing. I asked to talk to her manager or supervisor then Margaret told me that they not available to talk to me. What kind of business they run. I should to have the right to talk to the manager. This bank just want to take money from you they don't care. Why they athorize money to go thur if I dont have enough fund to cover the balance. They can just charge me only 1 fee for return item but they didn't. If they post my mortgage after the other transaction then I should get only 1 NSF fee but I think they want to do the othe way so they can charge me money. I'm done with this bank and I will tell everybody that I know not to bank with them.

this is the worst bank ever, tey took advantage of cusomers. they are refusing to close my account because i have to pay thier stupid overdraft fees, i had never asked chevy chase bank to pay any transaction if i have no available funds on my account , instead they were generous and charged me 105 $

I agree with EVERYTHING you've said and am trying to find out how wide scale the problem is. I have had many bogus NSF fees on my account because I cannot see my "true" balance with online banking. I am seriously thinking about a class action lawsuit.
