NEW FORM OF FRAUD - ACAI BERRY - FREE SAMPLES
My mother always taught me to try to learn from someone else's mistakes and stop reinventing the wheel.
We are all being deluged with emails about the Acai berry and these free samples - just pay postage. Okay, one dummy, step up to plate.
Naive and trusting, I ordered my one week free sample for $3.99 hoping to see a wonderful difference in my life and go on to a lifetime supply of this fountain of youth and health.
I took the week's supply...felt no different...and said "oh well...I've done worse things with $3.99."
I know you're waiting for the other show to hit the ground and duck...here it comes!
I get a package in the mail with a bottle of 60 pills. I go on line and look at my credit card and they have charged my card an additional $74.99!!!!!!
First I called the c/c company and am disputing the charge but I know I will lose. I contacted Performance Products USA at acai.performanceproductsusa.com and was refered to their webpage buried among millions with a click on accept terms which has a negative marketing plan and they will continue to hit my card for $74.99 until I opt out of the program.
They also refuse to take it back "unopened" and could care less about anything I try to do. Because of their terms, no matter how well they hid them on their website and how unethical opt out programs are, the credit company will deny my dispute

The terms are hidden at the bottom of the page....I can't believe I got caught on this one. The company I used also signed me up for 2 other trials that I was going to be charged for.....arghhhhhhhhh

Get in contact with the Attorney General office in Florida. They are so helpful.And they will help. I have called and have the forms to fill out. Regards,

i havent tried the free samples, but i have a bad feeling about it, but ive been reading complaints on different websites and i noticed something, this so-called support always comments and leaves the same comment on every website. it does state at the bottom that u will be billed if u dont cancel within 14 days by calling the toll free number you may be charged etc. Ive also heard many complain that the phone number is phony too. Funny they also thatthey are featured on oprah and rachel ray. Its weird. There are even websites that rate the products and they are all rated differently. Maybe this really is a scam. I dont believe that there is a miracle pill anyway. Why not just go to the supermarket buy ACAI BERRY JUICE AND CONCOTE YOUR OWN "WEIGHT LOSS" POTION. It takes commitment and lifestyle changes if you truly want to change the way that u feel not some stupid little pill that will prob fuck up your hormones. do the natural way it's easy and best of all it's FREE

This also happened to me. I have sent back the product and disputed the charges as well. I've even canceled on their website and still are receiving product.

I wrote the Consumer Protection Division of N. C. Dept. of Justice and they contacted Performance Health USA LLC and I got a prompt refund credited to our Credit Card account. Suggest you all get in touch with your State's Dept. of Justice.

I wrote 2 comments yesterday. Today I talked with a rep from my c/c co and the situation seems to be resolved for me. I still believe this a horrible scam this co is carrying out on unsuspecting consumers, and if anything else occurs with them, I will do what I've said I will do. But as of now, my problems with them were resolved by my credit card co so I have no reason to continue. I sincerely hope that no one else responds to their "free sample" offers and, therefore, experience the same problems with them so many of us have had. Maybe, wonder of wonders, Performance Products may actually change the way they do business!!!

Forgot to say on my review a few seconds ago that I am also filing a complaint with the Postal Service as they are using the mail in the operation of this fraud (under the category of Internet Fraud). Will write another review to say what happens with this.

As I have the same situation, I actually wrote a long review a couple of days ago. Do not see it on this list. I personally saw no box to check and with a "free sample" offer do not expect it to have a "Terms and Conditions" section you have to read and agree to before you respond to their free sample offer. IT IS A SCAM and I am going to do all I can to fight this fraudulent business, and I hope all of the others scammed do so too. Get the Utah BBB and the Utah Department of Consumer Protection info off the Internet and file complaints!

If you ordered Acai Berry 500, I got through fine. HOWEVER, you will need to also call the CANCEL the FIT program and the PRICE LIMBO program. When you get this product you are automatically entered into this agreement. If you do not CANCELL you WILL be charged after the trail period of 7 days.
