Abused by xbox customer service staff then supervisor - Xbox 360

I have had an xbox 360 now for 18 month and it has recieved the rings of death twice. When i ring up customer service they are helpfull and arrange for the console to be fixed but yesterday when i rung this wasn't the case. I had been suspended from xbox live for a day and i had no idea why so i decided to ring customer service to see if they could shed some light on it. She took my details and then told me somebody had complained about something(Most likely playing a clan and they all put complaints in about me which is fair enough) but then she started getting arsey and being quite rude so i took her name and asked if i could talk to the supervisor because this was wrong. In all fairness he did take the call but it seems the only reason he did this was to give me abuse. At first he was ok but when i asked him if he had contact details so i could complain about the ban he started raising his voice as he told me it. I asked him if he could repeat the e-mail address so i could check it he started reading it out load and slow and repeated the letters 3 or 4 times in a sarcastic tone. When i asked him why he was getting like that he told me to shut up and that he was going to get me banned for life. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT. What are microsoft playing at. Im now trying to find out who else this has happened to and im not going to stop until somebody higher up with a bit of understanding and curtisy can tell me why they allow customers who spend alot of money on there products are allowed to be spoken to like this but as usual microsoft doesn,t have anywhere you can complain but this will not end any time soon

I need to find a number to the Microsoft office this is ridiculous my console recently went rrod and its outside the 3 year warranty. I refuse to pay for their manufacturing error. When i called the people at american nintendo about an error message i was getting on my wii which was also out of warranty they said no problem and the repair would be free. I love the 360 but fuck Microsoft customer service cunts.

ive had an xbox for 18 months and its gone for repair 3 times and its just gone again !!! why do they send you a xbox they know is going to go wrong again ?? i think they should give the repaired xbox's the same upgrade as the new xbox's im so sick of xbox and there customer service

I rung up the technical help team and was appaled at the way i was spoken to. I told the man on the other end of the phone that i could not hear him very well and he said it was a problem with my phone. He told me that my warranty would only cover my xbox if i had 3 red lights otherwise there was nothing else i could do apart from pay About £64 to have it repaired. I told him that my xbox had been sent for repairs before and since i got it back it had made strange noises but i thought nothing of it and asked if there was someone I could speak to about other options. As i do not feel I should have to pay to have my xbox 360 repaired for a manufacturing error. The man then stated that he had explained 10 times that there was nothing I could do and when i asked to speak to a supervisor he started to become very rude and abusive. He said he would get someone who spoke my native tongue as I obviously do not speak english. I replied to this by saying i was born in England as were both my parents and that there was no need to be racist. he then said well you obviosly aren't english otherwise you would understand whats going on he even made a reference to my surname being foreign and I found this appaling I was out raged and asked for his name and asked to speak to his supervisor. He refused to tell me his name and put me on hold for about 3 minutes and came back and told me he can end the call and hung up on me.
This isn't right we deserve respect and answers

i to have a xbox 13 month old core system ive put a 20 gig hard drive on it in a week xbox broke e73 code need number to contact them but lookin at these write ups am i wastin my time and just pay 60 quid for repairs!!!!!

Hi, can anyone PLEASE help me, i am trying to get my son sxbox360 repaird it was one week out of warranty so i had to pay £65 pound which they took off my card on the 2nd feb and i am still waiting for the postage slips, i have made numerous calls and am just promised over and over they will be sent out this time, i asked for the head office number /address and was told they werent allowed to give it out!! i asked to speak to a manager and was told they didnt speak to customers what an absolute joke, how can a company like this take my money and not do as it says, does anyone have any way of me contacting the head office or just any tips on getting this sorted.... THANKS..

OMG You have no idea!!! I was to get a call back from HEAD OFFICE TWICE NOW!!! About my 360 which they have had for over 6 months and they have lost, told me that it was reg's in someone eles' name, and then told me that they could validate my addy!!!! They are a bunch of ass holes at XBOX!!!! But I was told today that I would get a call back from head office once again and no call!!! So when i call them later they are going to have one really pissed of customer!!!

I'm demanding that I recieve a new xbox 360 that doesn't have this hardware failure. I don't want to send mine to be "repaired" and have to keep sending their faulty products back to them. It's all a horrible injustice and I for one am outraged.

I'm currently WAITING not so patiently for a return call from a "Replacement Specialist." I went through normal customer support, I asked to speak to their supervisor, and then finally he told me that he could escalate my case further to the "Replacement Specialist." Well, Mr. "Replacement Specialist" calls YOU, you can't call him or be transferred to him. So today is the fifth day and still no call. I call back every single day and demand they transfer me, and they tell me I have to wait another 24hrs. NOTHING is working with these drones. Please please if anyone finds out any information on how to contact anyone at MS or anyone higher up the chain... post it here or send me a message on myspace... www.myspace.com/deadmary2point0

I sent in a pro system for repair and got an arcade system back and after months of calls and no progress im going the BBB way. Oh and never using a microsft product again.Did i mention my xbox is less than a year and a half old and i sent it in 4x. lol

One person from customer service admitted he didn't know what to do, another was so stumped he hung up without giving me a reference number.

And ya, the "supervisor" was agitated with me and kept repeating"you can send your xbox in'.(which was brand new)

my problem was a touchy subject that i want someone from Apple or Microsoft to fess up and answer.
I cant detect portable device that's all it was. IVE DONE ALL THERE IS TO DO I'M SURE

ps I too was lied to by "supervisor" and he said he is as high as the chain goes. I will go farther. Better business bureau is fine but I want microsoft head offices to be aware of thier problem.

I respect this review and have had a nightmare with xbox support before and now all day today after the red ring of death and customer service follow up. I have been on hold for literally 3 hrs on 3 calls and have proof. The problem still isn't resolved and will go as high up as I can to make amends. Have similar story: get used xbox on ebay with 6 month warranty. left. A 2 weeks before warr. expires box broke.Their repair center admit that box on the warranty send free shipping label. When box was shipped: no responce. Finally my call went through and I was told I have to pay for repair(?) or pay $40-$80 shipping to get back unrepaired. After numerous conversations I was confirmed many times that box should be on the warranty since policy states that warranty on the unit not not on the original owner. And every time they call me back in 2 days saying I have to pay for repair...??? OK F-ck them, I have paid $100 for repair. I received it today(9/15/2008): replacement unit, guess what? No hard drive! I call them. Their superviser will call back in 2 days All over again. This is first and last XBOX in my home.

I have been trying to get a empty box sent to me for 2 months. 6 different repair orders and no box yet. I emailed customer support twice and the reply is the steps to take to get a repair order started. I guess we are not valued customers of microsoft, bungie, or xbox!

You obviously dont understand hardware failures with these xbox consoles. I kept my pristine, in a well ventilated area - it was above and beyond what any device needs to operate efficiently, and it tanked on me. I get my second one, and it breaks even sooner. Microsoft is just good at screwing its consumers. Support on the phone just blew me off...

Xbox customer service sux, I spoke with a supervisor and he was worsthan the rep. I was so furious with them that I contact the better business bureau. If enough of us complain to them, MicroSoft has no choice but to respond. Try it!

Had the same problem with the staff my console was sent for repair in the original packaging and recieved it back in some random box. I called to complain to be told i was told not to post it in the original box having explained i didnt get told he basically got argumentive with me. I then asked to speak to higher authority which he did and got the most arrogant individual ever i was getting nowhere nd ask to speak to someone else to be told he was the only supervisor there.

Getting sick of this i just asked where i was calling (i knew it was an Indian call centre) to be told i dont have to disclose that information i asked for his name which he gave me (first name only) Manish but found him very cheeky and arrogant how do we go about complaining about these people to microsoft.

It may sound petty because its a box but im selling the unit and advertised it with the box
