AT&T Service Sucks
AT&T Rochester, NY

Our family has been a loyal customer of Cingular (now AT&T) for years. Our average monthly bill is close to $300 (five users). AT&T recently sent us a letter threatening to limit our phone usage to the AT&T network on all five phones. Why? One family member in another state was using too many minutes off-network. Never mind that the salesperson told us there was excellent network coverage in that region. AT&T did offer in the letter to let us out of our contract. So far, not too horrible, right? But try to resolve this problem with uncaring customer service reps and managers who don't return calls. Our local store manager was too busy to help because the i-phone was just being released. The problem was eventually resolved, but not because of anyone with a shred of good customer service intent. Just before our "termination date" AT&T acquired the primary cellular provider in the state where the problem originated.
