AMEX cut credit limit and raised interest rate - American Express Blue

I have been an Amex card holder for over 20 years, using several at one time. I havea blue for business amex credit card, and my card limit was cut in half with out notice, which meant that the balance on the card was over my "new limit", which has now affected by credit report. And because I am now over my credit limit they raised my interest rate to 28%! I've called and tried dealing with their customer service people who are rude and don't want to help. I was transferred to 4 people and was finally told to write to

Ms. Michelle Geithers-Clark at
Consumer Relations,American Express, who has not bothered to respond. They are no longer a prestigious company. What a way to treat a long time customer. As soon as I pay off this balance I'm leaving my Amex at home! It's disgusting.

Same experience here - I am thinking it may take blogging, youtube, and a snappy song to get their attention.

I had exactly the same experience with AMEX. My limit was cut from $18000 to $1000 overnight despite having a zero balanace, an excellent credit rating, having never missed a payment or being over my limit. Their CS dept was rude and I wrote a letter asking for an explanataion and never received a response. I totally agree!
