ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE Comcast customer service affecting a resident in Chicago IL.
Comcast cable goes out every 3 weeks - like clockwork. It displays the following:
ONE MOMENT PLESE, THIS CHANNEL WILL BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY

When I go into the cable box setup menu, it states that it is Disconnected - Not Connected.
This is a logical disconnection, NOT a physical disconnection.
This has been going on since January 2008. It is early May 2008. I have called Comcast easily over a dozen times and what do I get: hung-up on - no-call, no-show techs - lied to by your customer service about the day/time when the tech was suppose to arrive - techs, when they do show up, have absolutely no clue on what is the problem ( I guess they are told to just show up ) - tech not fixing the problem.

The few techs that did show up told me the following:
the problem is with the signal - the problem is not with the signal - the problem is outside - the problem is inside - the problem was fixed. A few days later, cable goes out.

A few times I was told that the tech would come out and replace both HD cable boxes. Techs show up empty-handed.
Tuesday May 06, cable went out again.

Hi there, I know how this guy feels, Comcast is a corrupt company, competely unproffessinal and frankly I don't think the cable lines work. I live on cape cod and the techs out here gave me the runaround when my screen began tiling and the jerk blamed me for having 4 cable boxes, I'm paying these jerks 25 dollars a month for each! Nobody in the company seems to care, I hope they get bought by some other company..
