I purchased 2 Mitsubishi 57" HD 1080P televisions and have had 4 lamps go out so far. One of the TV's I purchased was a gift to a friend with children and they have had 3 lamps go out because they watch it more than I watch my TV and thats why I am so angry... More...

We had the same problem. We've replaced 2 bulbs, sent to the shop for a repair that took more than 2 weeks, only to get it back to run for 3 days. Lamp light is on again a 4th time. Went out 4 times in 3 months. Warranty company is beginning to trip because the service team they are using is sorry, and now everybody is pointing fingers. What about the $2,000 plus we paid for a TV?

OH MY GOODNESS!! I TOO BOUGHT ONE OF THESE T.V.'S 62" $3700.00 A YEAR AGO AND GUESS WHAT? LAMP HAS GONE OUT! I DID PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THANK GOODNESS THESE BULBS ARE $300 A PIECE, BUT I AM HAVING TO WAIT A WEEK TO HAVE THE BULB SHIPPED. MY WARRANTY RUNS OUT 2010, WHAT WILL I DO THEN?? A NORMAL FAMILY WATCHES T.V. QUIT A LOT, WHY WOULD THEY MAKE SUCH A T.V. WITH SUCH AN EXPENSIVE BULB?? THERE IS ONLY A 1 YEAR MANUFACTURES' WARRANTY ON THE BULB AND I WAS 2 MONTHS OUT! GUESS WE MADE A BAD CHOICE, SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH SONY!!
