I purchased 2 Mitsubishi 57" HD 1080P televisions and have had 4 lamps go out so far. One of the TV's I purchased was a gift to a friend with children and they have had 3 lamps go out because they watch it more than I watch my TV and thats why I am so angry about buying these TV's. I don't watch TV a whole lot and only had about 20 hours on it when the lamp went out. That was about a year ago and because I am so busy and also don't feel I should have to go and buy a lamp for this TV everytime it goes out I havn't replaced the lamp on mine. For over a year now I have wished I could watch it, but it just sits there taking up space in my livingroom and is just a worthless piece of junk. I spent nearly $5,000 for the2 TV's, but they never told me I would have to keep replacing lamps to be able to watch it and they didn't give me any extra lamps with it so I feel cheated and would return the TV if I could. I have a 42" plasma TV made by Sony hanging on my wall in my bedroom that has never had a problem and I have had it for about 4 years now. The Mitsubishi only ran for about 20 hours before there was a problem with it. UI suppose I will have to go and get a lamp someday or it mayjust end up in the junk yard. Anyway I can't watch it and don't know when I will be able to. I contacted Mitsubishi and they told me to get a hold of a local authourized service company. I guess so I can pay them more money to have them put in a lamp. It wouldbe nice if Mitsubishi would just give me a free lamp evey now and then. I gave them $5,000 dollarsand what did they give me? They gave me a tV that doesn't work.
