411 Is Free Again 1-800-FREE411
All right, so last month I made a load of 411 calls from my cell phone because I needed store numbers and addresses and I was nowhere near a computer. All fine and good until I get the bill now and see I was charged $1.75 for each of those 411 calls. This strikes me as particularly absurd since I already pay quite a bit to have cell phone service in the first place -- I don't see why 411 can't be free.
Revenge is getting online and telling people how they can put a stop to this gouging: 1-800-free411. I wish I knew about this before, it would have saved me about 20 bucks. Anyway, it's free because it's ad-supported, but the ads are short and not annoying so it's all pretty painless. I've made a few calls using it already and from what I can tell the info is just as good as you'd get through regular 411.
One more way to stick it to the man, even if you are the man.
