PPV-24 hrs--why???

I'm very unhappy to discover that PPV is now only 24 hrs. and I want to know why. I hope somebody can clear this up for me. I used to order a lot of PPV movies mainly for the caption affect and was able to save on my TiVo till I was ready to watch it but now that is not an option. More...

ppv movies expire from dvr's

If the movies I purchase to store on my DVR will expire after 24 hours, why would I now need the DVR. I pay a monthly fee for the DVR rental, and I pay for the movie purchase. The following notice just appeared in medium-fine print at the bottom of my monthly statement: IMPORTANT NOTICE Starting 4/15/08, when you buy a PPV movie, it will expire from your DVR playlist 24 hrs after purchase. Get more info at directv.com/ppvexp. Now isn't that grand. Ordinary... More...
