I purchased 4 Douglas tires at store #0123 on 6/24/04. I now have 42,000 mi on the tires. I took my van to Wal-Mart to have the tires rotated. I was told they could not rotate the tires because of a mechanical problem with the rear end. I was also told they no longer carry that tire and could not get a adjustment. I took my van to Hibdon Tire and they checked the tire snd said there was no unusal wear. I bought a new set of tires from them. I would not recommend purchasing tires from wal-mart

I am completely satisfied with my Douglas Tires... I have a restored 1991 Crown Vic Police car.. use these tires because they match the tread on the original tires on the car (Goodyear GT's) I had over 50,000 miles on the first set, replaced them because I was going on a trip, even tho there was still about 1/4 tread left. I have only one tire go bad, which they replaced no questions asked. I bought another set last year, they still look new... Great tires...

I had 4 new Douglas tires put on my car at Walmart in Salem, OH and had to eventually have every one of them replaced. Luckily I got a nail in one and had AAA come and change my tire....good thing. The inside of the tire was completely dry rotted and I could put my finger in the tire separation, it was that bad. Walmart replaced the dry rotted tires ( I had to go to several stores they didn't have the replacements in one store) and now...they are dry rotting again and Walmart will not replace the tires....there is definitely a defect in these tires. I took pictures of the tires and feel like contacting the Douglas Tire Company and letting them know that I actually could have been killed if I hadn't got a nail in the first tire.

I have had Douglas tires on my cars for over 15 years, until my local Wal mart does not carry them any longer. I always got 50K and a couple 75k on them. I drive alot, over 50k some years and Douglas has out performed Goodyear all the time. I have had Goodyear for 6 months and had to have them replaced. Previously I got Goodyear high performance and within 6 months I had all 4 replace with Douglas that lasted me 3 years which at that time they were still good as i traded the car.

I get from all these reviews that Walmart has the problem with mounting tires, not necessarily Douglas tires.

I had new Douglas put on and then went on 2500 mile vacation right away. No vibration, running 70 mph for 10 - 12 hours day. Nice ride.

3 cars all using douglas tires for 8 years 1 bad tire in all that time. great in heavy snow, rain, light offroad, ice, etc...
kelly springfield makes them and the have a great reputatuion, i'd rather have douglas than yokohama any day, btw, vivas dont do so hot in slick conditions. for you fools: 1 tire goes bad, that 1 gets replaced not all 4. stop trying to get something for nothing.

Bought 4 Douglas Performance 215-60/15 tires for 98 Malibu a year ago. Walmart mounted one of the tires backwards (it even says on the tire "Mount with this side facing inward." Found out about it when rotating. They acted like they were doing me a favor to mount it properly for no charge! Another tire blew out this morning. No help from Walmart. Their auto store has finally lost my trust for good. Discount Tire or nothing from now on!

I wore out one set of Douglas on my truck (40+ k); replaced with identical set. Buying another for one of my cars because they are an excellent value.

I had 4 new tires put on at Walmart store #1426. The employees didnt tell me that one of my wheels needed aligned. So because of this 3 months later had a flat tire. Very upset because Walmart said they couldnt do nothing about it. When it was their fault. Plus paying the price of the wheels I believe that a new wheel should be issued. Do not believe that anyone should have to deal with this.

My main complaint with these otherwise excelent Douglas tires is most Walmart stores don't carry my 175/70-R13 size and despite what the website says, you can't order sizes that they don't already got on hand which is beyond totally stupid in this age of click and buy. These tires will not stand much power or fast turns or misalignment, but they are good and cheap otherwise. Most of the problems I read in here have to do with under inflation and other bad installation conditions caused primarily by walmart workers. I install my own and have no such problems so of course I like the tires very much. The very first set corrected a vehicle shake that caused the shifter to buzz endlessly. With no wheel weights at all, the shifter makes no noise and does not move as it used to. That's a really well balanced tire. Big O tires couldn't do that. I'm looking for my third set soon.
