This is my first problem in 2 years and I never sit on hold. They are very helpful and nice

UTS is so RUDE! First, I wait (on hold) on the phone for 30 minutes, then, I get cut off. Next, I call and "leave my number" and wait another 20 minutes or so--finally, a call back, but I am put on hold while they "find a service agent" (or whatever they call it) to help with my query. I wait again and am cut off (by UTS), no doubt after too long a time on the line.
I call back THREE more times, and finally, I get someone who says, "I'll get someone to help you" BEFORE I even get the chance to say,"I don't want to wait for another whole HOUR!"--and then I wait some more--30 MORE minutes!
FINALLY, fed up, I disconnect (they aren't going to "help" me at all) and decide to call again--this time to see if I can do something differently to get a LIVE person to actually listen...The call goes through, but
THIS time a different voice answers (obviously a recording) and informs me the "office is CLOSEd..." Apparently, "business" hours are on Mountain time and end at 6 PM MY time...and did I even get a response after being on the phone nearly TWO hours??? NO!

LOL, I thought I was the only one having this problem until I found this site. Generally, UTS has been responsive with my problems. Fix my treadmill when broken but the phone issue is terrible. I've been on hold for less than 30 min. I've had a treadmill down for 3 wks now and they are to replace it but again that process is slow. I give them a B+ for service but definately an F- for phone answering!

I have a UTS warranty and it is hands down the best warranty that I have ever had. Yes, they are very slow to answer the phones but the wait is well worth it. They cover everything on the machine. I mean everything. All of the wear and tear parts and there is no questions asked when I call in and say that I have a problem with my machine. This is an incredible warranty. This company stands by them and I am very pleased. Thanks

I purchased a treadmill from Sears about 2 years ago. I run a lot and know that items with a lot of moving parts tend to need service from time to time. I purchased the extended warranty and good thing as my treadmill has been down almost as much as it has been up. I have had 4 seperate times in which the treadmill has needed repair and due to incompetence had technicians out to my house 6-7 times. With each new incident, it is always the same thing. Call, wait for 45 minutes before anyone answers, have some goofball diagnose the problem over the phone, send incorrect parts, get the technician to come out and verfiy the incorrect parts were sent, get the correct parts, reschedule the techinician, have the technician attempt the repair, wait a short period of time before the equipment fails again. I guess the learning experience here is you might save some money buying Sears equipment with a warranty, but if you really want to use the equipment and it is down more than it is up (quote from UTS rep today "average repair time is from 4-6 weeks), then you are not really saving money. Kind of like getting a good deal on a car (it just doesn't run).

I have been on hold for over 30 minutes today. Was on hold yesterday. I would never buy a product from Sears again nor will I ever buy a UTS contract. I plan to take this to Small Claims Court. Those abused by this company need to ban together and form some type of legal action against them being able to sell as one writer stated "expensive toilet paper".

I've had my nordic track for 8 yrs and have called UTS once before and they were able to help me fix the problem over the phone. This time I called and was on hold 20 min. and then called back and held on 30 mins. till someone picked up. Again we were able to fix the problem (couldn't get the incline down to 0) over the phone. The young lady was very nice and told me Mondays are always the worse day to call. I also let her know about the one tune that plays over & over till it's driving you crazy.

Dishonoral and RIP OFF: I purchased precor eliptical and treadmill machines from Leisure Fitness in Annapolis MD,in May of 2007 and i paid $275 each for 2 yrs extended warranty on both items. Ihad no idea that there is a thrid party involved in this transaction. In October 2008 Leisure Fitness went out of business and I needed services for my eqiuptments I called UTS and I was told that they have no record of my warranty. I faxed them copies of my recipt showing that the items were listed as UTS extendend warranty 2 yr, once they discovered that it was brought at Leisure fitness they then claimed that they did not get paid and that was why they have no record and since Leisure Fitness is out of business there is no why I can prove this. UTS is a not a company to do business with. Even with proof of purchase they still will not do the right thing.

RIP OFF!!! Starts at Sears for selling the warranty through this company. I will never buy another warranty on a product through Sears or anywhere for that matter if it has anything to do with UTS. They do not fix ANYTHING. I'm trying to figure out where the real scam comes in and how UTS, Sears and Nordic Track are related. I feel robbed. I would have been much better off buying a gym membership. Never will I buy another item from Sears, a warranty through UTS or another Nordic Track. If the horrible service is all related to UTS hopefully Sears and Nordic Track figure out how they are effecting their business.

I purchased UTS extended warranty offered by Sears when I purchased a Nordic Track Feb. 2007. I have attempted to contact UTS for 2 months by phone. After automated voice directs you to what button to push (warranty repair) the phone just rings. No one has ever picked up the phone nor has voicemail been an option. I contacted Sears and they geve me additional UTS phone numbers with the same outcome. No answer. I spent $500.00 on this warranty that I feel is the most EXPENSIVE toilet paper ever known to man! DO NOT PURCHASE warranties through UTS!
