The ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever worked with. They were very nice and polite on the phone which is what initially attracted me to them, but that's were the positives end. They must have had a second grader work on my project. After complaining they promptly said they would fix the problem and so they hired a 5th grader to finish it up. I was so sick of dealing with them and their crappy service that I just decided to move on and do the work myself. Take my word for it... DONT use this company! I threw away $2,200 and angered myself in the process. All the positive comments on here must be from family and friends.

I have been looking at Minimax Consulting for some time. I have tried looking for reviews on them and this site is one of the only reviews that I have found. I see some negative comments and alot of positives. I would like to get some more feedback from the people out there. I worry that the positive reviews are from friends, family, etc... of Minimax and that they are not legitimate. I asked Minimax for references and received four. Of course I expected that any references that they would give me were in their favor. I just wanted to get some names to contact directly and see what their experiences were. If you have anything that you would like to add please feel free to contact me. I am in a tough spot and I am running out of time to finish my program. I am also a substitute teacher who has lost her job and is paying for this out of pocket. I don't mind paying if they will do what they say...but I would like to know more. My dissertation should not be complicated and involves the teacher perspectives of a Performance Based Diploma Program.

My experience with this company was absolutely dreadful. I am currently working with the Better Business Bureau to try and investigate this company, especially Peter "P.C." Chabot, who has a criminal history (fraud) that I feel foolish for not finding earlier.

This man is also being investigated for real estate fraud at the moment by the Rhode Island Police.

To say that my experience reflected all this information I mentioned above is an understatement. I sincerely hope this company goes under, and soon, before more innocent people are exploited as I was.

Yeah, as a registered American Statistical Association member I can tell you these guys are all true scam artists.

Folks, check out the SEC articles on Peter Chabot, and let's end this business. They are everything that is wrong with statistics today (false promises and blatant misrepresentation), and ultimately they destroy the integrity of us all.

If you know someone at a big paper, let them know about Peter Chabot and this consulting company him and his wife (Charlotte) are now trying to secretly run. This would make a fantastic con-man story! A Hollywood movie quite possibly!

Complete scam, run by an ex-con.

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/03_21/b3834097_mz020.htm

"..Peter W. Chabot, after a brief stint on Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s arbitrage desk, lied both about his age and trading experience to collect more than $1.2 million from 14 investors starting in 1999 for his Synergy Fund, according to court documents. The 26-year-old spent the money on Armani suits, personal-fitness trainers, and tickets to New York Knicks games. A chronic drug abuser, according to a criminal complaint, he was caught on the run in Mississippi, allegedly on his way to Mexico in November, 2001. He pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in New York to two felonies: using manipulative and deceptive devices and fraud. In March, 2002, he was sentenced to 27 months in prison and ordered to pay $1.3 million in restitution and to undergo drug rehab treatment."
