0 Wow I did not realize how bad they were until I had the same experience I am reading from everyone here. We were never late and rate went from 13.8% to 34.8% with no notice. I quot paying and now they are threatning law suit. Anyone else getting threatned with this after 90 days delinquent?
0 I don't know how to file a law suit, but sure feel like it. My interest was hiked behind my back to 36%. My payments are set on automatic, and I always include extra to pay down the principal. The only time I was "late" was when in December my payment due was larger than that preset amount.
Upon investigation, I was told that I had been told in August that the interest would be hiked, that this affected all customers. I never received such a letter, and what they're doing is completely illegal.
Anybody knows a lawyer hungry for a class action law suit?

0 Advanta has a history of using deceptive and misleading business practices. Losing a class action lawsuit in the late 90's did not seem to deter them.
There is no way you can expect any fair or good-faith dealings with this bank. It is the most contemptible bank I have ever dealt with and should be shut down & it's officers jailed.
