MeasuredUp is hiring "stringers" to be community experts and report the best and worst of business.

MeasuredUp wants to feature a select few of you from across the US to write reviews about the businesses and companies you encounter in your daily life.
You can write about the restaurants you visit every day, the shop where you bought your computer, your local laundry service or any local or national business experience you choose. Develop a readership, build your "community expert" reputation and if you are an official MeasuredUp "stringer" get paid for it!

To be compensated for your reviews you will need to be a contracted official MeasuredUp "stringer". A "stringer" is defined as a part-time or freelance correspondent for the news media. In this case as a community expert for MeasuredUp.

To become a "stringer" please email MeasuredUp using the "contact" tab and let us know a little about you, why you would be a great addition to the MeasuredUp team and where you live as well as an email address we can use to contact you.

If selected to be a "stringer" by MeasuredUp you will need to follow these simple guidelines when submitting a review:

1 - Upload a photo to your profile, it doesn't need to be your own photo, it can be a picture of your car, or your cat, or your favorite cartoon character.

2 - Your reviews must each be at least 150 words long.

3 - Write original reviews, reflective of your true-to-life experiences as a consumer.

4 - You must submit complete details with each review including company location/address, website, etc. whenever available.

5 - "Stringers" are limited to a maximum of 20 reviews per week.

6 - Adhere to our policies on profanity etc. See FAQ.

7 - This offer will apply to reviews that are submitted as of 6/2/2008.

Please note that, you must follow all guidelines in order to receive compensation for your reviews.

Payments will be made via PayPal at a rate of $10 for every 20 written reviews that meet the guidelines listed above. The terms and conditions of this program are managed by MeasuredUp and this promotion can be canceled at any time. MeasuredUp will manage a very limited team of "stringers" and will periodically add new talent.

We are accepting a limited number of "stringers" to the MeasuredUp team, so please write to us here to let us know why you're the best candidate for the job and why your writing is captivating and fun to read. Only reviews by officially contracted MeasuredUp stringers will be compensated for their reviews and then only during the agreed times as approved by MeasuredUp in writing! MeasuredUp reserves the write to terminate the official "stringer" and compensated reviewer status at any time for any reason at is discretion. In the meantime those not selected as official stringers are always welcome to continue to submit reviews to MeasuredUp as a regular user. If your writing is good enough we might contact you to join our team.
